The story goes like this.. When Padmabhushan Sri Devulapalli Venkata Krishnasatri garu was once traveling in a train from Vijayawada to Bellary, he was inspired by the rhythm of the train and the serenity of the forests around him and this song originated in him. The song became more popular when it became part of the artistic film Meghasandesam years later. For my friends who cannot understand Telugu, this is a rough meaning of the song. "let me become one among these leaves, flowers and trees, let me blend into this forest, and stay right here forever.. let me become a wave in this soft breeze, let me be the essence of this flowing stream, a bee behind the tender leaves, let me be the blush on the blossoming flower bud .. let me go on top of these trees, the hills, the clouds and then become their blue shade.. let me wander crazily around with no hunger, no thirst or worries, become a part of this nature and conclude my journey right here.." The song is originally sung by the inimitable Smt.P.Susheela. This is just a humble attempt by me. I chose the visuals from all my favorite scenic forest areas around the lovely Portland OR. In the slides you can spot Mt.Hood national forest, Eagle creek, Punch bowl falls, Hood river, Columbia river gorge scenic area, Japanese garden, Dogmountain hiking trail, Mt.Hood, Multnomah falls etc. Please watch, listen at your leisure and I hope you enjoy..
